I am a board certified PMHNP and have worked in the psychiatric behavioral health setting for over years 14 years. I have found working with those facing substance use and mental health issues to be the most rewarding and have discovered it to be my calling.
In my work ethic, I am direct, intellectually honest, have a voracious appetite for new knowledge, and am endlessly adaptable to the everchanging clinical landscape that is modern medicine. I have a bona fide passion for all things medical and psychiatric, am culturally competent, work well with those from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and have a genuine love for the human condition.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Nune Hovanisyan is a Board-Certified Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, holding credentials from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In addition, she is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with credentials from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Nune Hovanisyan earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the Western University of Health Sciences, where she also completed her first Post-Master’s Degree. This education paved the way for Nune Hovanisyan’s career as a Nurse Practitioner, which she began in January 2020. In 2022, driven by a commitment to provide high-quality and affordable psychiatric care to those suffering from mental health diseases and substance abuse disorders, Nune Hovanisyan obtained a second Post-Master’s degree in Mental Health from the same institution. To further enhance her professional skills in Mental Health and Psychiatry, Nune Hovanisyan have obtained certificates from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Her expertise in addiction medicine enables her to provide medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and pain management environments. Nune Hovanisyan firmly believes in treating each patient as an individual, a philosophy she considers crucial for maintaining optimal health. Her approach centers on fostering a patient-provider relationship built on mutual respect and collaboration. This dynamic empowers patients to actively participate in their healthcare decisions, promoting better health outcomes. In addition to her professional skills, Nune Hovanisyan is trilingual, with proficiency in English, Russian, and Armenian. This linguistic ability allows her to serve a diverse patient population more effectively.
